phenomenal. i will miss the pleasure of reading these books. the invisible string that seemlessly connects a lifespan of tragedy, love, rebellion, passion and violence is strung so tenderly by Ferrante, such skill.

So so so good from the very beginning to the very end. Great culmination to a perfect series. Some of the best ever

The rating is less reflective of this particular volume and more of the series as a whole, as I think it would be most accurate to talk about The Neopolitan Novels as one novel in four volumes.

Many people more qualified than me have written reams about the richness and complexity of this work; all I have to contribute is that it forced me to appreciate maximalism for what I think is the first time ever.
