Picked up Fell thinking it'd be just as good as Clement-Davies' other books (which I really enjoyed), but was sadly disappointed. The plot was ok, and the characters not bad, but Fell didn't seem to have quite the same depth or excitement that The Sight had. The "bad guys" were pretty see-through, and didn't seem to have very much depth other than "Let's take over the world!!"
Carried on to the end just to see if it picked up, and to say that I'd read both parts of Clement-Davies' Sight books, but wouldn't read it again.

This book is the sequel to The Sight, and in my opinion is much better. Many characters return from the first one, along with some new ones. I enjoyed the journey of the characters and how it ended. I have to say that this is the first book that I remember crying while reading. Very good book.

Ohh what to say about this book besides it was not good. I tolerated the Sight, it was hidden behind some nostalgia glasses as I reread it and it was okay, but I lost patience with Fell very quickly. Some notes: there was so much showing not telling that nothing was really left for the reader to put together on their own - well maybe except that entire scene that we skipped where the two human protagonists were making up after a big fight and being separated that was just stated in a sentence. There was way too much philosophy talk, especially in conversation that wasn't interesting at all, and found myself skipping the majority of it. DCD also needed to calm down in describing a she-wolf 'pretty' in every sentence that was about her. That was a bit weird. We get it, she's going to be the wolf's love interest. Held no interest in the villain. Held no interest in any character; there was no depth to them. I though Catalina would float away in the wind with how flat his character was. The only thing though, that pissed me off the most in this book and the first, was that WOLVES. DO. NOT. SWEAT. glad to be done with this.

Somehow the main character feels more like an afterthought half the time.

Fell was an engrossing read. It is an anthropormorphic tale that is much simpler than Watership Down, yet a little more dark than Redwall. I thought it was an interesting examination of free will vs. destiny. Perhaps I read a bit too much into this book, but it was fantastic YA fiction.

For some reason, not quite as gripping as [book:The Sight], but still pretty darn good. Fell is a more complex character than his sister was (in The Sight) and seems more "human" in his struggle to do what is right. The author neatly weaves this story in with elements from The Sight, but it could also read as a stand-alone novel.

I absolutely loved this book! I loved the insight and description and the depth of the characters! It really made me think deeply into what the words truly meant.
