Okay, that was fabulous. And completely unexpected.

A bit odd at the beginning but I got really hooked at the end. Some things I thought a bit dumb and not as complex at I would have liked, but overall it was pretty good.

It was a good read, I'd recommend it! Especially for Shakespeare fans.

I really enjoyed The Disappearances and raced through it one sitting. I loved all the characters, the friendships and the mystery of why the disappearances were occurring. I wish that the actual cause had been a little more exciting, but the journey to find the answers was excellent.

This book had some really interesting concepts, but I thought the execution/pacing/payoffs were lackluster. The final showdown particularly suffered from plot conveniences. It’s a shame that the story ended up as such a “meh” experience, because I found the opening to be quite intriguing and I think the author has a solid prose style. I will definitely give her writing another chance in the future.
