This was a great memoir. I was feeling so many things throughout the entirety of this book. I think everyone in the world should read it, not only because it is a great story, but because we can raise awareness on a topic that should be more widely talked about. I was full of rage for Chanel throughout this book, but only because of the great injustice that she faced. I think this book could be a great learning opportunity for everyone that doesn’t have experience or doesn’t know anyone who has had an experience like her.

An absolutely astounding book. The story of Chanel Miller, the female victim of the heavily publicized sexual assault by a Stanford student and well known swimmer. This book is a must read. This well written book makes the reader feel all the emotions, pains and anger of the assault, the trial and the injustice of it all. Her testimony and statement are heart wrenching and so well articulated. I implore everyone to read this book. It’s such a sad glimpse into the disarray and sick influence of the court system and how victims are not fought for enough or heard.

a poignant and beautifully written memoir about how chanel miller learned to pick up the pieces of herself as everything around her was working against her and falling apart.
