Read the audiobook, narrated by the author.

A difficult, but worthwhile, read.

I don’t feel comfortable giving this book a rating because it’s so deeply personal and raw. Chanel is such a beautiful, eloquent soul, and her resilience shines through in every striking, poignant, hard-hitting line. This is the sort of book that comes with strong warnings—only read this if you’re ready to deal with a book that doesn’t flinch from the horrible reality of sexual assault and its impossibly messy, destructive aftermath. This isn’t a fun read, but it’s a necessary one, and it sheds excoriating light on the way the legal system treats its victims, and how the public treats its Jane Does.
