A beautiful story about love — different kinds, but the most important, certainly, the love of a girlfriend— a sister. My heart is broken — when I started reading this book I had no idea where it was going and I was not prepared for where it went. This book shows us the depths of love, the lengths people will go to prove it, and the ways that love changes our plans and alters the course of our existence. A reminder to live every day like it’s our last.

In Five Years despite its sad ending, was a refreshing read. I felt captivated by the story and the book had me examining my own life and the pursuit of my own goals. I wish we had gotten to see their lives unfold more but understand why things had to “finish” the way they did.
Such a beautifully written book I’d recommend it for a quick, yet impactful read.

Its really just.. okay. I get the sentiment, and the concept is REALLY cool, and I like the idea of how much can change in five years of your life. But using a terminal illness as the push seems a bit.. disingenuous. That’s why I rated it so low.
