I am extremely conflicted about the ethics of having sex with your late best friend's fiance right after her funeral. but grief makes people do weird things and I don't feel like the actions make Dannie and Aaron inherently bad people.

this is one of the best written modern, quick, romance-style books I've read. I got very immersed and didn't want to put it down. this book taught me something without making me feel like an elementary schooler looking for a "moral". will be recommending to friends. EDIT after explaining the plot to to friends, I have realized how messed up it all actually is and I think I have to bring my rating down for morality. still a fantastic reading experience tho.

This wasn't my cup of tea. Easy to read and a somewhat engaging plot, but I hated all the characters. Dannie was obnoxious, selfish and a terrible friend. I had no personal investment in her outcome and felt emotionally unattached to the story as a whole. I appreciate what the author was attempting and this led to some interesting discussion, (I read this for a book club) but I think the author was trying too hard to do something 'different'. I respect the conclusion and can see how others might really enjoy this, but it's a pass for me.
