I see a gazillion BSG homages in the self-published ranks. This seems to be the first For All Mankind homage. Itā€™s pretty good, if maybe overstuffed. My main quibble is how through maybe the first half or so, Vivian is still wanting to get back into her original exploratory missionā€¦both in her head, and even verbally. I kept thinking of that Tom Hanks scene in Apollo 13 where he got the crew mentally squared away on their new missionā€¦survivalā€¦in this case, survival and war.

What a crazy ride

From beginning to end this was one crazy space ride. I did have trouble sometimes keeping all the characters straight, because I was reading an ebook and couldn't flip back to the appendix where everyone was sorted. One thing I liked was all the technical information from both the spacecraft and the surface of the Moon. I even looked up a moon map so I could kind of follow along where they were.
