I see a gazillion BSG homages in the self-published ranks. This seems to be the first For All Mankind homage. Itās pretty good, if maybe overstuffed. My main quibble is how through maybe the first half or so, Vivian is still wanting to get back into her original exploratory missionā¦both in her head, and even verbally. I kept thinking of that Tom Hanks scene in Apollo 13 where he got the crew mentally squared away on their new missionā¦survivalā¦in this case, survival and war.

What a crazy ride
From beginning to end this was one crazy space ride. I did have trouble sometimes keeping all the characters straight, because I was reading an ebook and couldn't flip back to the appendix where everyone was sorted. One thing I liked was all the technical information from both the spacecraft and the surface of the Moon. I even looked up a moon map so I could kind of follow along where they were.
