Wonderful, accessible, and easy to read. The tone is conversational, and Justice Sotomayor is surprisingly vulnerable and revealing about her life. Highly recommend to anyone who likes a good life story -- definitely not just lawyers.

Loved it!! Not the most exciting thing I have ever read, but honestly I wasn't expecting it to be. Justice Sotomayor is inspirational, aspirational and overall an amazing person. What I found most appealing is her ability to reflect and glean lessons from all types of life experiences.

Reading this for book group; it is a really good discussion book. We are reading it right after "Becoming" by Michelle Obama, and the common experience of the two women is interesting to compare. Sotomayor is very honest about her failings and her family's, and writes in a very relatable style. A friend recommended this book and I'm glad she did!

FINALLy. I didn’t realize two full years have passed since the beginning of reading this…but i finished this book. Asides from a few pages I would skip when rereading (which i will), this book has come to represent a sense of comfort. In so many ways do I see myself in sotomayor, and many more ways do I hope to see myself in her when i reread this book in the following years.

I read this book for a book club. The story was very well written and thought provoking which led to some very interesting discussions. I am inspired!

It got a little slow in the middle when she got into some lawyer jargon, but it picked back up.

I couldn't put this book down. Sotomayor does an incredible job weaving together personal anecdotes and family history with her educational and professional journeys. I actually got chills when reading the part about Senator Moynihan offered her nomination for NY district court judge on the spot of her interview.

Such an amazing life story... and her latest chapter has only just recently begun. Sonia Sotomayor has just made it onto my list of female role models - a testament to what tireless pursuit to achieve one's dreams can bring to an individual.

Interesting look into the life of Supreme Court justice Sonia Sotomayor. What intrigued me most about her story was her background. She is Puerto Rican, like me, and her family history was both heartbreaking and inspiring. Sonia is truly a force to be reckoned with and I'm excited to see what she does with the justice position.
