This is a cute RPG-themed cocktail book. Please note that as it is written by a couple of gaming podcasters, rather than a couple of bartenders, it's definitely geared more towards gamers who would like something fun for their next D&D session than towards home bartenders looking to expand their library. The drinks range quite a bit, from classics and modern classics to a drink that features a staggering 10 ounces of assorted booze and an energy drink (yikes).

This would be an ideal book for people who are new to making cocktails, as each drink has a complexity rating to give you a clear idea of how hard it is to make. None of the drinks use obscure ingredients, and the only thing you'll really need to make yourself is the occasional coffee or tea, and various simple syrups (and believe me, once you learn how, well, simple, simple syrup is to make, you'll be making it all the time to spruce up your coffee or tea or make your own sodas).

Over all, the book is a fun read, with gaming-inspired flavor text and cute illustrations, and pretty much anyone who likes cocktails will find at least one recipe worth trying.
