eye-opening, and absolutely gut wrenching. I didn’t expect this to be as much of a gripping page-turner as it was, but i couldn’t put it down and finished it within 24 hours. Fascinating learning experiences about cultures I knew little about, as well as powerful insights into the life of a victim. Amazing read!

Wow. Just wow. I grew up watching 19 kids and counting and every spinoff of this show. In my eyes they were the perfect Christian household, although extreme. Hearing of what Jill was put through her entire life absolutely broke my heart. She is so unbelievably strong. I know she defends her parents in this book, but I do not believe them to be deserving. The things they have said, done, and put their children through is absolutely horrendous. A MUST read.
