This book was a rollercoaster of emotions and I loved every single minute of it. I absolutely loved the banter and sarcasm that Killian and Juliet flawlessly exchanged.
I couldnāt wait to read more about Killian after we were introduced to him in Beautifully Cruel, and he did not disappoint. He was the perfect match for Juliet. He had over-the-top tendencies yet somehow still managed to exert some inhuman self-control. I loved his exchanges with Liam. And after everything theyāve been through, seeing them both fall head over heels for their women was so beautiful.
I really liked Juliet; she was a strong FMC with an arsenal of skills under her belt. She did have a bad habit of overthinking and jumping to conclusions, but given how she was raised, I couldnāt blame her for the assumptions she made. And I loved that she was part of a vigilante gang of mafia boss daughters out to make up for their fatherās atrocities was such a cool concept.
Declan has intrigued me with his appearances in this series and Iām even more excited to read his book!!

I have a confession to make. Well! Two!
one, I read the second book in this duet before the first one since each can be a standalone
two, Queens and Monsters is still my favorite
As always, Geissinger knows how to bring out the possibility of two completely different people who should never work but surprisingly they do. She does that in such an easy effort with a sprinkle of humor that you aren't able to put the book down
Throw in Shakespeare references and quotes and I am hooked.
it's a "He falls first but She falls harder" kinda book
and you could say that it's a reverse Grumpy/Sunshine where He's sunshine and she's the Grumpy one
I liked this book
was I in love with it? No
It's a Romance and that's it
but other than him trying to convince her to admit that she loves him, nothing really happens until the last two or three chapters of the book
I was waiting for that BOOM, that usually happens in Geissinger books but didn't get it
because the book was mostly from Jules POV, many of the chapters retell what happened to her when conversing with her best friends or boss. I didn't need that so I skimmed most of them. I wanted more of Killian's POV, why he fell for her? his backstory (maybe it was in book 1 but still) was summarized in 2 paragraphs at the end!!!
I wanted to know his reaction when he learned she was kidnapped
And why there was no mention of the damage to her back? She did get severe lashing!!!
My favorite Quote
<"I like you the way Newton liked gravity"... "Once he discovered it, everything else in the universe made sense"
I am going to read book 1 Now though :)

Kindle + Audiobook= chef kiss!
J.T Geissinger has the best Audiobooks. I love the duet narration; it enhances the story.
We were introduced to Killian in Beautifully Cruel [ book 1] & from the moment he came into view I was entranced and looked forward to reading his story. This is a modern-day Romeo and Juliet story. I loved the emotional ride this story took me on. The banter and spice was superb.

Killian will forever be a top book boyfriend - he is amazing & 10 times better than Liam.
Also Juliet is iconic - love the thief & the gangster forever ESPECIALLY THE EPILOGUE ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
