Not as good as the first book, didn’t enjoy the Insta-Love / Insta-Lust from Killian. Enjoyed his personality and background and Juliet was snarky and fun but their story just didn’t feel as real as Tru & Liam’s. This one was funny and there was lots of cute romance from Killian though.

When a thief steals from a prominent mafia boss, she expects a quick death not him sniffing her hair..? Is his smoldering intensity and attraction any match for her willpower?

Dark Romance, Insta Love, Mafia, 3 3/4 🔥

I didn’t love this one either. It felt very repetitive of the last book. I didn’t like Jules was described as having trained her whole life to avoid being vulnerable, but when they tried to pull a job, they were helpless.
I wish she had been kidnapped a lot earlier and we could’ve seen more of that and Killian’s perspective. Was super disappointed when he starting describing the 13. That’s super cool! And we were told it, not shown it :/ I think it wouldve been awesome if while Jules was kidnapped, we saw the 13 get ready to rescue her from Killian’s perspective. Also couldn’t believe that Jules was just magically fine after being rescued. In my mind, her feet were ripped to shreds, but she’s up and walking the next day? Took me out of it.

A pet peeve I have is when authors write southern dialogue wrong. Y’all means you all. It cant refer to one person and it tries to in this book.
