This is one of those that makes you wish you could give it a sixth star.

this was, surprisingly, a lot of fun to read!! some of the asides were hilarious and I loved the weird duality of Rosaura’s gender expression and I also liked the “happy ending” and the series of reveals that came with it.

the idea that life is so ridiculous that it seems like a dream was very fun and well executed (I also loved the immense gaslighting haha). you can definitely see that this was the precursor of the theatre of the absurd, but in the best way possible!!

Quite entertaining play read at the end of the semester when one's focus is on finals. I still enjoyed it though.

For an assigned school reading it's really not that bad. I genuinely found it fun to read just wish it had a different ending, though it makes sense why it doesn't 🤷🏻‍♀️
