Vampires aren’t really for me but I did enjoy the book. Broadbent isn’t quite a master of description and I found myself slightly confused on multiple occasions about what I was meant to be picturing, but that’s not really why I was reading it so didn’t really care. 

Good flirty banter between FMC and MMC so I’m satisfied.

I’m torn between liking and just feeling… indifferent towards this book. Originally picked up because a friend kept recommending it but I’m not super big into vampires so I was skeptical from the start. It just seems very unrealistic to me that a happy ending could ever come out of this book. If bloodlust is such a big thing and these different groups of vampires are literally encouraged by Nyaxia to wage wars against each other I just… don’t get how this will turn out believably well. Which I assume is the goal but maybe not. Have yet to decide if I want to finish the series.

I didn’t expect to like this book honestly, it seemed like all the current popular tropes thrown together into one book but damn it worked so well. Nothing was over done or forced and the characters didn’t fall flat. The storyline was exciting and the ending was devastating. I wish I had read this earlier

I enjoyed this! It was something that I could read at my leisure; I wasn’t overly into it but it wasn’t boring either. A really nice balance and a great story! Not sure if I’ll read the second one though.
