I liked the first volume better. It seems to gloss over the fact that there was a traitor in Poe's group of friends but once you find out his 'reason' it's like oh we're worried about him now. I'll still read this because it gives Poe more depth that the movie was lacking. Oddly he gets the most attention in the literature which I'm okay with.

This was such an improvement to the first volume! I was a little confused by the time jumps in the beginning, but honestly it wasn’t a huge issue. Good story, great art, fun characters. It really felt like the Poe I love. Super excited to pick up vol 3!

This story was miles better than the previous volume. Poe really comes into his own. He finds out information is leaking and there must be a spy somewhere and he is concerned. So C3PO tells him of the network of informations they fun and they go to find a droid. Terex is waiting for them and the cat and mouse game is on again.

The action mostly made sense and the characters had more focus and voice here than previously. I had fun reading it unlike the first volume. The one thing that didn’t happen is we do find out who was the leaker, but Poe doesn’t find out as far as we know at the end. I guess we are to assume he does. Still, this was a good outing and Poe and 3Po have chemistry. It worked well. I almost think these novels have been better than the movies, well, the last movie before Luke was ruined anyway.

I’ll continue on.

The Black Squadron might be the closest we get to The Rogue Squadron in the Legends. If it continues in the same way, I'm okay with it.

Volume 2 was a big improvement over the first volume. The characters all had pretty significant development, the story was consistently engaging and entertaining. I even enjoyed a cameo from a certain droid that appears elsewhere in Star Wars canon.

People had told me the Poe Dameron comics were good. Now I know they are! Very eager to continue this series. Poe is such a frustrating character in the movies, it’s great to see more of him and his backstory here.
