Beautiful but dark. He mixes love with pain in an incredibly honest and truthful way. There isn’t really a plot more so a collection of short blurbs.
He was able to put into words so many things I know but didn’t know how to express.

beautiful haunting poetic. an ode to something greater, something more, a claim to a past that persists and the persistence of a past that remains beautiful

Probably more like a 3.75 ultimately. Beautiful, and periodically powerful, memorable prose. A bit heavier on the poetry and light on the story than I usually prefer, but just enough meat there to engage with. There are definitely a handful of passages I found very powerful, that will stick with me, but there were also times I had to reread passages or whole pages because my mind would wander. It was a lot of imagery and metaphor, but it felt like it was trying too hard at times. Short, enjoyable read, but not in a style I’d want every book to be.

Should have been a short story. Filled with pretentious ramblings.
