A thriller with such a traditional happy ending certainly stands out.
The first half of this book does require some getting through and is very slow placed for a thriller. Following that, the second half initially had me very confused.
However, once the pace quickened and the characters (rather than the plot) made sense it was a very twisty thriller I didn’t want to put down.
The plot line itself isn't unique, and the book actually makes reference to that, but it’s very well executed.

Whew. This book is a journey. It is a ride that starts off real slow and you don’t know where you are going then BAM here you are and the map is clearer and things start to make sense, and then BAM a perfect ending. I have seen mixed reviews on the choices that were made regarding the audiobook production and I was very much questioning it as well, but stick with it. It makes sense and is brillant. I don’t want to give anything away, but if you like a psychological thriller, read this book.
