I've always been fascinated by Greek mythology, so when I read the blurb I was excited to see what steamy adventures Aikos would get up to with each of the gods of Olympus. But let me tell you, his story took me to places I never expected. Much more than a series of steamy escapades, Aikos's journey explored love in all its forms and revealed the true nature of each god he interacted with. Aikos began his story seeking self-preservation and ended up helping each of the gods find something they were missing--love, desire, self-acceptance, and more. Each chapter followed Aikos's time with a different god, and their encounters were as diverse as the gods themselves. Pleasure was a common thread through the entire story, but the form it took for each god felt entirely different, each satisfying in its own way both physically and emotionally. This book humanized the gods in a way that I don't often see, and I loved it. Aikos delved deep past the surface level, past the stories everyone knows about the gods into what their hearts secretly desired. He learned to read each and every one of them, see past their appearances, and give them what they needed to feel fulfilled. Each interaction taught Aikos something new about himself and challenged him to be more than he ever expected himself to be. What Aikos shared with each god was physically satisfying, but the real wonder was the emotions he brought out in them and the way he left each one of them with peace and hope. I genuinely had no idea how Aikos would make a choice in the end, and when the time did come he surprised me once again with the path he chose for himself. Aikos certainly didn't follow a traditional romance storyline, but anyone who reads this book will walk away feeling like love was always at the very center of this book, and love is what made the ending as satisfying as it was.

**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

I was on the fence about this one, and that’s basically the reason why I waited so long to even start it. I got the audiobook just recently and I don’t know if that was something that added to my “it’s okay but not wow” factor.
While I thought some of the chapters were interesting, some fell flat.
The prose was also something I’m not used to, and it made it difficult for me too.
I think I’m also not quite satisfied with the ending (no spoilers here)

It was a mixed bag for me.
