This book was okay, but it wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be. I was excited by the premise, but certain elements let the book down:
• The writing style is very juvenile. This book leans towards middle grade, and I'm sure some of my year 7s and 8s would enjoy it.
• The dialogue is awkward at times and some of the character interactions feel very unnatural.
• The romance is very poor. There is no chemistry there whatsoever and it was just annoying.
• The plot is very predictable. I told my husband a rough summary of the first 50 pages and he correctly guessed what the whole of the rest of the book would be.
• The heists were too easy and boring. We read the characters planning the heists, then read them carrying out the heists perfectly with very little trouble. Boring.

I'm just starting to get into the fantasy genre and this is a good toe dip into that pond. It was faster paced then I thought it would be which I'm glad, it made it easy to follow. I adored the main character Sky, her inner thoughts had me laughing at points which was great and I loved her relationship with her brothers, it was kind of spot on. I was expecting a little something different from the ending but what I was given, was just as good, some ol' fluff after fire breathing rampage.

I'm not a big fan of this book and now I will tell you why.
The Story alone was awesome, I mean it's about dragons (the best mythical creatures ever) but I didn't really like the charakters.
The protagonist Sky was not as loveable, I liked her brothers and her (later) best friend Gabriela more than her.
Sky has to complete her first heist, in order to found out what happend to her mother. So as I said the story sound really good, but everything happend way to fast and that's a bit sad, especially for the charakter development. Sky stays as a charakter completly the same, and that is really boring because she had potencial.
And (for me) the worst past in the story was the complete unnecessary love story between Ryan (the Ex-Boyfriend) and her. The Story would have been better without it.

4.5 Again, the romance I didn't care for and the love interest was so goddamm bland I just don't get it therefore I knocked 0.5 off the rating. A perfect heist story with dragons and other worlds and family and just so entertaining.

Meh, I was bored for the most part. It only seemed to get better about 100 pages towards the end (that’s why 3 stars). The main character was boring and childish and rambled on far too much.
Only reason i finished it was because I don’t like DNFing books!

Sometimes Fairyloot gives a lot of hype to some books, and nothing to others.
This wasn't one with so much hype but I loved it!
I think it's more a middle grade than YA, but I enjoyed the story a lot, even if sometimes it were kind of predictable. But I liked Sky and her sense of humour, and how she was reckless sometimes. I also loved Gabriela, because she seems autistic? And I love those representations too.
Also I would like to say that this had a hidden message, that you need be aware to notice it. It's the way than only women tried to steal the jewel.
And maybe that's one crazy theory, but I think the men are good with how things are, just the women wyverns want to really change things in the Wyvern Council. It has some parallelism to feminism these days.

Heists and dragons and pizza--this book was pure fun. Unfortunately, it would have been even better if a few elements hadn't been very predictable, the main character was a little quicker on the uptake, and there weren't so darn many feelings fests.
