while I am happy ted and laura ended up together I’m not a fan of the blue balling. I liked how jasper was out of the picture long enough to actually fall for ted but it just wasn’t what I signed up for.

A delightful romcom with gorgeous scenery and a sweet story. Our heroine is a proper lunatic for about 2/3 of the book, but if you can look past that it’s an enjoyable escapist read!

3.5 stars, nothing exciting but I could also see this easily being a romcom movie. I think it has potential, but the storyline didn’t have the punch I wanted to keep me captivated.

Ted, the cabdriver, is the character that most drew me in. His initial surly demeanor has the reader knowing there's gonna be some sort of turn around for him, and I just had to watch it play out.
This book had a lot of work through, as the main character, Laura, discovers so much of what she believes to be true about her life was fabricated. It's a lot to unpack, and I thought Cousens did it with humor and heart.

I took forever to finish this book becauuuuuse ✨depression✨ and all books are the same. The characters were cheesy, but alright for an English duo. Good enough.

I really enjoyed Cousens 1st novel
This Time Next Year, so I was looking forward to this one.

This story is funny and cute and is fabulous romance escapism.

When Laura gets of the aeroplane and picks up the wrong bag she starts to believie that she is going to meet the man of her dreams with movie star moments that just capture the love that is written in the stars.

Traveling back to her family island (Jersey) where her mum and dad met, Laura takes on a work project to retell her parents love story but as Laura explores the island the truths of her beginnings are slowly unravelled.
