I really enjoyed the story, the setting and the writing, despite the kinda flat characters and some "meh" moments. It was fun, and that was enough for me!

Stephanie Garber, ma’am, you have blown my mind. This book was captivating, and like the magical Caraval itself, I could not escape the pages of the book. I was drawn further and further in. There were so many twists and turns, and I even questioned my sanity and if the game had made me lose touch with reality. I was not expecting many of the things that came to light, but it was fantastic. I cannot wait to dive into the next book! Well done, Stephanie! I’m just sorry I didn’t get to this book sooner.

This is my reread of the book so I can continue with the trilogy and even though it didn't blew my mind like the first time (which btw I forgot EVERYTHING, I'm not joking) it's a pretty solid book and start of a trilogy.

The world is captivating, the magic around it is pretty cool.

Caraval is officially one of my favorite books of 2016. I haven't read The Night Circus, but from reviews I believe they are quite different, so don't let this deter you from reading this beautiful book.

Caraval isn't just a game, not exactly. It's about finding yourself within this world full of mystery and magic and fulfilling the object of the game within a deadline. It was fast-paced, addicting, and I continually tried to guess what would happen next then finding myself pleasantly surprised when I was wrong.

This book makes you question everyone and everything. Who do you trust? What is real? I honestly need to go back and re-read it just to try and figure it out more myself. Not that I'm confused, I'm not. It's just amazing how many times I thought I had this book figured out when Stephanie Garber would throw another curve ball and completely knock me off balance.

Caraval is a story of family, love, and mystery. What would you do to save a family member or yourself? This was a magical story that kept me guessing until the end. AND THAT ENDING! I hope Stephanie Garber continues on with this story, I will be definitely be picking up any books she writes in the future.

Thank you, Flatiron Books for this ARC and to Goodreads for hosting the giveaway. This is a book I will recommend to everyone and definitely end up buying finished copies once released.
