I was prepared to fall in love with this book, but was let down. I would consider myself the target audience. I’m old enough to remember the show so I understood a lot of the references that were used in this book. However, I found this character to be far too unlikable. I understood that she was making most of her decisions based on a reaction to trauma, but they were no layers or levels. She was always selfish always rude always self-centered. She experienced harm and tragedy, but she lacked empathy. She was almost as sociopath. There wasn’t any tension in this book  Years past and nothing happens. There’s no soul-searching or healing that occurs that would allow her to become a better friend or family member or citizen.
