Read this with my daughter and I think I was more interested than she was and she's an avid frozen fan! Loved this version compared to the films ❤️

easy, fun read. VERY similar to movie - that’s my only complaint! I loved seeing different aspects of Elsa and Anna’s personalities though!

A solid "meh."

It's hard to complain because you are getting pretty much exactly what it says on the cover, "What if Anna and Elsa never met?"

The thing is, you are getting absolutely nothing more and nothing less than that premise. The author didn't really add anything new to the Frozen universe, no new lore, no new perspectives on the characters, no new significant events, no challenge to the values of the original story, really nothing that makes an alternate universe story interesting in the first place. The plot is basically just the regular old "Frozen" movie but with the sequence of events slightly rearranged and tweaked just enough so the additional conceit of the sisters being long lost can fit in there. The "twist" doesn't change anything aside from being just one more, honestly pretty minor, obstacle for Anna and Elsa to overcome, and this isn't exactly a story that was lacking sufficient obstacles.

Like I said, it's hard to complain because it does deliver on the sole thing it promised to do, but this book really feels like it did the bare minimum. If your alternate universe novel is pretty much identical to the original product, you haven't really written a great AU novel.

If I wanted to experience what is 99.9% regular old "Frozen," I would just go watch "Frozen."

Not my favorite twisted tales book. But I kind of like it better than the original frozen 😂 overall a good read.
