Absolutely gorgeous story about Leo, a young boy, who finds out that his class will be having a 'Tell Us About Your Dad Day'. However, Leo doesn't have a Dad, and soon begins to worry about what he'll do for his presentation.

This story is so incredibly touching. I love the child-friendly illustrations and the amazing writing style.

I would use this book for ages 6 and under, however it can be used for upper KS2, as a means of looking into celebrating different types of families and the views of single parenting.

The intended message is very sweet - Dads are people who love and support you (even if they're also your mom).
But Mom is engrossed in her computer the entire book. Leo tries to talk to her about his anxiety about talking about dads in class and she tells him she's busy- she is in front of her computer nearly the entire book. There's a two-page spread of Leo looking through boxes of memorabilia while his mom types in another room. The words say "Dads are people who love and support you" but the pictures say "Dads are people who ignore you when you need them"
