The first book was great, the second book was even better! I loved returning to the characters of the Thursday Murder Club - lovable Joyce and the gang.
I probably could have read the entire book in one go if I'd wanted to, but I wanted to break it up and make it last! I read the final 50 pages last night and the mystery was solved! Some of the revelations I guessed, others I didn't, but that's the way I like it - it's good to be surprised but I also like to be a little smug and be able to say "ha, I guessed that one"

I think I prefer this to the first (although can’t remember the first too well)
Really like the characters. All of them have quirks and can be liked for different reasons.
The mystery itself is interesting but the appeal is definitely the characters. Joyce is brill but as are all of them!

A return to The Thursday Morning Club. Of course they solved the crime with all its twists and turns and we find out more about these wonderful characters.

I read this as a book club pick and enjoyed it. It’s clever, fun, and fast-paced. It definitely is a sequel and wouldn’t read it without reading the first one first. As far as the mystery goes, I prefer a bit more fair play but this is a great light read.
