4.0

4 of Heinlein early explorations of people's potential combined with his Future History. You can see the basis for his later works (one story is clearly an antecedent for the novel Friday) and underlying all of them are the nature of mankind. As all the stories were written in the 1940s, racial diversity, sexual orientation, and gender identity are not included. Women do have stronger roles than the norm for the time, and one character is a human/chimp hybrid whose humanity is affirmed.
