There's a lot of big feelings in this one so as the Author's note mentions, this is one go gently with (so so many tissues); but it also had me laughing out loud with the characters and so much that resonated. A lot of heart.

Using famous queer people as curses aside, I really enjoyed this book. It's a heavier book than Cochrun's first two books, but has the same delightful humor.

This is a big heartstrings-pulling story, and I applaud the author for also making it so funny and charmingly romantic. It took me longer than usual to get through because I read it in ebook, and audio is my preferred medium for this genre.

It's definitely a cheesy, trope-y read at times, which is both a pro and a con in my books. My biggest critique would be that the author leans a bit too heavily into queer, sapphic, and neurodivergent stereotypes. At times, this felt alienating... and, at other times, it felt clunky and awkward.

I don't know that I would describe this reading experience as "feel-good", because it deals very heavily and very intimately with dying and grieving a loved one. It is, however, an emotional read that includes a romantic resolution.

lesbian love story? romantic comedy? summer road trip? yes yes and yes. this book is sweet and sad, funny and heartbreaking. a story about love and loss, family trauma, mental health struggles, and of course, existing as queer in spaces where it sometimes isn’t normalized or accepted. I laughed while reading this book. I definitely cried so many tears while reading this book. I felt seen while reading this book. If you’re looking for an LGBTQ+ love story perfect for the summertime, this is it!
