I can't find the words to explain what I felt reading this book. Seriously. It's been a long time since a story made me feel this way. I wanted to scream at some point (in a good way, lol).

The beginning is a bit slow, I thought that maybe I wouldn't finish it. But I'm glad I decided to go on, because now it's one of my favorite books. The second part is amazing. I love this feeling of reading one sentence and suddenly realizing everything that's happening even before the characters know it. If I think too much, I could probably find some ethical issues and reasons why their project should never exist, but at the same time I totally understand why Josh worked so hard on it. I also think they deserve a second chance.

* I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I've read (listened ... so many of them are included in KindleUnlimited with text and audio) to several books by this author. I think this one was a favorite. While no specific date was given (that I recall), most of the story is in the "present" ... could be now, whatever year you are reading it in. Then there is a jump to the future, it is a little sci-fi with the possibilities presented. Really though, this was a romance. The characters are a little older, college age. I don't know that I'll remember all the details, but I think the main premise will stick with me, as well as a few of the cute things (freeing the lobsters). It reminded me just a bit of [b:Parasite|13641105|Parasite (Parasitology, #1)|Mira Grant|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1362417533l/13641105._SY75_.jpg|19255869] (the last quarter of the book, feeling like a stranger in the body, etc).

This was absolutely beautiful, nothing I could write in this review could properly describe how amazing this book was. Just go read it, trust me, you’ll love it.

This book was phenomenal. I loved it when I first saw the synopsis because of my initial passion for neuroscience. Not going to lie, some concepts with the Neurolink , the memory and how Hope had come back into another person's body with her memory confused me to the point where I need to reread the book. I thoroughly enjoyed this; the friendships between Hope, Josh and Luke (I had no clue Luke was in love with hope because he did not show it at all, but I suppose him not wanting them together in the apartment ) Josh and Hope were such goals and don't get me started on the letter he left hope , it was tear-jerking and made me stare at the ceiling. That letter was one of the most gorgeous and abnormally well written letter I've ever seen.
Huge thanks to the translator for making this possible for me to read because I was a bit bummed out to find that it was in french because a novel on neuroscience with YA is so hard to find.
