Strong 5/10

It's fine as a kids' novel though nothing special. The story was like a mix of other kids stories that we've heard of before, but didn't try to make it better or more different from the originals. The writing was whimsical enough and some of the characters and animals were at least fun to read.
Overall, it was alright.

Wanted to love it, but it didn't really do much for me.
