Not for me. I found the book to be boring despite the interesting synopsis. I also found it hard to keep track of that many characters, their personalities, and their backstories as the story moved through. My copy was 250 pages and it took me forever to get through because I couldn’t get myself to care about any of the characters or the story.

This was borderline unreadable.

Hide switches through like 20 POVs on a whim throughout the entire book. The synopsis makes you believe you’ll be following Mack, a young girl embarking on this competition because life has been rough why not??? I understand what White was trying to do thematically, but this was a mess.

I did read somewhere that she wrote this in a rage and you can tell. Please don’t read this book.
