3 stars!

This was an interesting introduction to thriller books as I rarely read books with this being the main genre.

This was average for me. There were a few issues with the characters, especially with Nora's naivety and complacency. The whole time she tells herself that she shouldn't be there and should leave. And me being me, I wanted her to leave and not think about the consequences. And the phone situation, I think it was mentioned the nearest town was forty minutes away? Why not just drive towards the town and hope for a connection. Lol I'm getting frustrated.

Apart from this, I did like the whole idea of the hen party in a house in the woods, with the mystery footprints.

Too much naivety and stupidity... I just want a strong character.

It was a 4 star read until the second half. I loved the fast pace-ness and it kept me turning pages, but the main character was pretty short sighted and couldn’t see what was so obvious.
What I loved most about the writing style was how detailed the author was in explaining each expression and tone the characters were speaking with, to better imagine/understand the situation/intentions. Would definitely like to read more stuff from this author.
