Three of the characters being named "America", "Tiny" and "Tuesday" really set the bar for this one. However, had I read this at 12 years old, I would have deemed it one of the most amazing peices of litterature to grace the Earth probably. As a 26-year old reading this three or so days after the USA election of 2024, it hits very weird in all the wrong ways as we learn about the "fourth world war " and how "China pulled strings in the downfall of what was the USA " and "my mother named me America because of how much I was kicking and 'fighting' in her belly before I was born " and how "the rebels both in the North and South keep making attacks on the palace and sometimes they break in and kill people ".
Might continue reading/listening for the sake of my inner 12 year old, and to have something to pass the time. I believe I have read at least 3 One Direction-Wattpad fanfics that might have been, in some way, inspired by this book/series. It's fun read for a trope bingo!
Do not make a drinking game based on the times any character uses the word "pretty" or "beautiful", though. Do. Not. You will be in need of medical assistance before the 40% mark.
