Amazing how much the art evolved since these early strips.

I read this for a challenge to read a bestseller from the year you were born, because my husband still has the entire collection from childhood and our kids frequently reread it. There are a few outdated things, but for a comic strip, it still mostly holds up 37 years later and it’s hard not to love all the characters.

Entertaining and fast-paced. Full of wit and playful banter. Failed to make me laugh. Defies societal norms. Interesting characters. Instills amusement amongst frustration. Brave and prominently reflective comments. Produces an addictive desire to binge-read. Recommended for those exploring the world through an unconventional perspective.

I read this to my little ones. All children should be exposed to the classics. And nothing is a classic if Calvin and Hobbes isn't a classic. I love these guys.

Best cartoon book ever, next to the adventures of tintin. I love the imagination and fresh humor that this book eminates, it's quite refreshing.
