This book only got 4 stars from me because it was actually very difficult to read at times. I found the story very disturbing at times and was crying at the very end because of how sad it was! However, it did keep my interest and I enjoy thrillers and true crime. Something about this one was not as entertaining to me though. Just sad and horrible to think about.

Not my favorite mystery. I figured out the twist pretty early. The writing was good, but the hints were pretty obvious if you are good at math lol. Definitely dark and twisty and a bit sad.

Even though I was able to put most of the pieces of this story together before the ending, I HAD TO KEEP READING to see if I was right. I enjoyed each of the twists and turns. There were so many little Easter eggs…. It was like a delicious little trail of breadcrumbs.

Lovely ride as always from Jewell. Never knowing how it's going to turn until you get there. The first part was a bit boring, but once it opened to other characters it truly blossomed. There were parts I paused to gasp and say "Oh no..." so it definitely has an impact. Not as suspenseful as others but definitely dark and brooding.

I don’t know if I liked how I felt at the end of this book. I didn’t feel good. It didn’t feel like I normally do at the end of thrillers where I feel like I achieved something by finding out what happened. Instead I just felt sad and deflated.
