I absolutely adored the Leviathan series, and this was a quick yet lavish jaunt back into what I loved most about that series - the imagination (and the illustrations)! As beautiful as it is, I couldn't help but wish that it was longer, or contained more information about the world of Leviathan. It's simply a little too thin to be satisfying, like an appetizer that arrives and is filling than you'd hoped it be.

I was only interested in the illustrations. Keith Thompson is an amazing illustrator.

Nice pictures by Keith Thompson; the accompanying text doesn't add to the related novels. Would have liked more cutaway views or perspective drawings.

Scott Westerfield's Leviathan series is a steam punk masterpiece placed in WWI Europe. The German side and their allies are Clankers, masters of metal and steam. The British side and their allies are Darwinists, countries that have learned how to manipulate DNA to develop their technology. This book is companion piece to the series, a collection of illustrations showing that various ships, uniforms and devices of both sides. It is a must for people who have read the series. It could also be used to hook people in to reading the books.

This book was delightful, however, DO NOT READ before you have finished the trilogy. It spoils the ending which is rather disappointing. The artistry is beautiful and I love the descriptions and focus on the main besties and ships in the series.

I've waited so long to get my hands on this one, and it only makes me love the Leviathan series even more.

No new information to speak of; but the drawings are great and do provide some details not shown in drawings featured in the novels.

I read this book a year ago, but I love the illustrations and it's a short but exciting way to relive the thrills of the trilogy.

When this gorgeous beauty arrived in the mail, I was very excited. I still am but... I thought it would be bigger and taller and wider and more!. Oh well, what can you do but stare at the lovely pictures? I very much enjoyed reading through it and looking at it gives you a brilliant idea of the setting. Quite awesome.
