Leigh Bardugo has written a Wonder Woman that is exciting and fun. She gives the teen, Amazon depth. Diana is mid-race when she here’s the scream of a girl on a sinking ship. She is torn between winning the race, earning her mothers pride or breaking all of the rules and rescuing the human girl. Diana chooses the girl, but this puts her entire island of Themyscira in danger. In order to save her Amazon family and the girl, Alia, Diana must get her off the island.  There’s just one more problem, Alia turns out to be the Warbringer, the descendant of Helen of Troy destined to bring about world war. Diana must choose her destiny. Along the way she makes new friends and learns more of the ways of mankind, good and bad.

There is not much I can say about the art i like Nyx design, it is not the worst I ever seen, but its not my style.
I am not a fan of the story, saying all war is the fault of one teenage girl feels very very weird.
I am not a fan of the "romance" there is not enough built up (I think she and the girl have much more chemistry) I dont like the that romantic love is always the shorthand for human connection - Diana getting betrayed by someone she trusted but then deciding to continue to trust people is a stable and a good Wonder Woman story but why does it have to be so hetronormative?
What I liked, the treatment of fat, queer and characters of colour was not bad.
