new witch on the block spoiler free review
Rosie gets her an her daughter away from her toxic ex. They end up in a small town where the people are not so welcoming & her neighbor might be crazy??
★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆
first witchy read of the season was a bust..whomp whomp. I love small town romances & was so excited to see one with magic! but I was let down here.
nothing really ends up happening in this story & everything kinda just jumps around trying to drive the plot. we were introduced to the magic & it wasn’t really explained nor did it make a whole lotta sense. also, the romance just felt so half assed?
this series isn’t for me & I won’t be picking it up again.

This was a nice short book. Perfect for the fall. The dynamic between the mother and daughter is amazing. the story line of the witches does add nice depth to this book

Cute Story
This is a cute tale and a good start to a supernatural series. I enjoyed reading about Rosie, Maggie, and Declan as Rosie and Maggie start out their new lives. There’s a touch of romance, some humor, and plenty of turmoil.

I found this story to be a really quick read. The characters were interesting but I felt it lacked sorely in world-building. The end was a little jarring, just ending abruptly, but I imagine the second book will pick up right away. I might read the second book because I am interested to learn more about the witch world but I hope we get more background on Declan because that was not included in this book.
