A nice read with a build up of the story now I'll have to get the second book to see what happens to the cafe and it's owner.

I loved Cressida McLaughlin's Primrose Terrace series last year, so I had her new serialisation on pre-order and gobbled it up on the train on release day. This is the first part of a new story about Summer and the canal boat which used to belong to her mother. All Aboard sets up the characters and teases some secrets for the next parts. I really like Summer and I think the set-up and the other characters have real potential. I really want to know what happens next and I don't want to have to wait!

This is the first installment in Cressida's new four-part novel called The Canal Boat Cafe. I truly loved this first quarter and really enjoyed getting to know all the different characters and learning all about the history of The Canal Boat Cafe. There were some hints to secrets that I hope will unravel as the story continues and there is certainly a spark between two characters which I hope ignites!
I've never been a lover of serialised novels as I just want to read it all in one go and pay all my attention to the story but I look forward to part two which is due out soon and can't wait to devour that one!

I thought these were great fun; I read them all by the canal near my house. I looked forward to each instalment like the small slightly imperfect but utterly loveable narrow boats that chug and creak their way up and down the waterway.
