i love this manga but with the series reaching its (at time of writing) 13th English language tankoban release and no end in sight, the already slow pace is beginning to wear me out. the sheer amount of psychological abuse and emotional humiliation Sei goes thru is excruciating, and makes it hard to recommend to anyone but the most resilient enjoyers of the psychological horror genre

This is one hell of a messed up book about a mother’s excessive protectiveness and love for her son that borders on possessiveness. Partnered with an amazing art style, it made for a really eerie and creepy read! At a glance, there’s nothing that could make it be categorized under horror, but the more you read it, the definition of horror shifts.

i finished it in less than an hour! very intriguing book. i’m super curious to find out what happens next. please note: this book is more of the setup for the story. it WILL leave off on a cliffhanger. i was dumb and didn’t have the next volume on hand so i’m stuck in suspense until i can get it lol.

realistic depiction of abuse. the art is gorgeous. panels are focused on disturbing facial expressions & dark scenes creating a tense & deeply horrifying atmosphere. i read the whole story in one sitting and cried about 7 times
