This is a great collection of Skulduggery Pleasant short stories, some old and some new but handily bound all together in one volume.
The book includes a chronological time line showing where each story occurs in relation to the main books (although I think that's more suited to a re-read of the series rather than a first-run).
The novella, Get Thee Behind Me, Bubba Moon, is written from the point of view of a mortal and makes me really excited to see what Derek Landy will produce outside the SP universe.

A wild mixture. Exactly what I had expected. The book doesn't disappoint and provides some backstory and expands on a few of the already familiar characters as well as the world a bit. The quality varies, but only between entertaining and gripping. Recommendation for fans of the series? Yes, without limits. Recommendation for fans of horror short stories? Yes, but only limited, too many of the stories live on the humor of the world and characters and too little on really deep atmosphere, even if there are exceptions (e.g. "Get Thee Behind Me, Bubba Moon" or "The Button"). An extra shout-out goes to the preface, which alone was also worthwhile, like always with Derek Landy.
