I enjoyed this book and it was different than anything I have read before. I love that it focused on the lives of middle aged women but I found it so immensely depressing and disheartening. I don't know if that was the goal, I think that there was supposed to be some hope found in there, but I felt so sad that most of these women were treated as so disposable by the men in their lives and how terribly they tended to treat and judge on another as well. I am still glad I read it, but it was surprised at how hard I found it to read
