Over all, this was a very enjoyable anthology. Like any anthology, there were a couple of stories that I didn't particularly like at all, and a couple that were "meh" for me, but the majority of the stories were good to great. The editors gathered together a really diverse cast of authors to bring some unique interpretations of fairy tales around the world. Because the authors in question come from a mix of fantasy, sci-fi, and even horror backgrounds, you get a lot of different genres, from weird Westerns to space operas to some pretty absurdist stuff.
A few of the stories deal with more mature themes, so I'd recommend this one for older teens to adults, although many of the stories are all-ages friendly and could be nice to read aloud to younger kids.
