I can see why there are people that are enthousiastic about this book, and while I do think that the author said some interesting stuff that set my gears turning, but it was repetetive as can be, and it would have been a lot better if the examples he used weren't riddled with micro-aggressions (he'd probably find this part of the review excactly what is wrong with people, but so what).

The examples he used include things such as him talking about how he "settled" with his wife and tells her she doesn't look good sometimes, about how much horrible shit he did when he was younger but "how much better" he is now, inserting islamaphobia, victim-blaming people in abusive situations, judging people based on stories he made up in his head (even though that goes against what he is writing about), disrespecting femininity and women in general, and more.

I wouldn't recommend it to someone that wants to be changed by reading a self-help book or re-invent themselves (because that's not something that's feasable anyway in my opinion), or someone that is easily swayed by what people write. I've seen way too many people have problematic takeaways from this book.

I'd personally only read it if you don't intend to take it too seriously, and I just wanna get some different thoughts to swirl around in your brain for a bit (if you got some extra time). And if you're willing to deal with the messed up examples he keeps on giving.

Honestly, this whole thing could have been a blog or a single chapter in another book (without the examples and all the repeating there's not much left).

There weren't many new things, the writing style also did not fit my taste. There was one good quote in it though....

This book was enjoyable and reflective. Throughout the book, there was some crass language as you can figure with the title; making it entertainingly helpful.
There were so many great points in this book that I would like to reread it at some point. Some things I would like to check back in to see how I may have progressed with the advice given.
I saw by a content creator on TikTok that stated this is not a safe book for those who suffer from a mental illness. I guess I can see their point. If you are a logical person and are looking to improve your quality of life, I would suggest checking out this book.

Really good book, it really did touch on some deeper points and behaviors I didn’t realize affected me so deeply.

This book was a swift kick in the pants. The main message is basically that life isn't all about you, so stop acting so entitled. I also liked that it was relatively short, only about 200 pages. A solid self-help book. 9/10

This book has some good advice about life, though it drags on at times.

Somewhat entertaining but felt rather repetitive and under-qualified, having listened to more thoroughly referenced non-fiction books recently.
