I'm going to talk about this book to everyone until they tell me to shut up. Brilliant, totally fucking brilliant. The research that's gone into this piece of work is extraordinary.

I was expecting more of a historical fiction, but instead it's more of a compilation of facts, which is super impressive, but drier than I was expecting. Still, it has a great message and I love that these women finally had their stories told after being libeled by newspapers, etc. in the past.

Impeccably researched, riveting. Such an important story about the constraints of women’s—especially poor women’s—lives in Victorian England that is so timely as well. How far have we actually come as a society?

I really enjoyed reading this book, I've recently been on a non-fiction kick and this has been an enjoyable and informative read. I was always fascinated with the world of Jack the Ripper and I wish this book was available to me when I was at school as I would have been more appreciative of these women and the incredible lives they led.
