I enjoyed every single one the characters! They were all a delight. This read a bit more like ya than adult, however. It left me feeling a bit detached from what could have been a very effective and powerful story. I personally want to feel eviscerated when I read about “high stakes” stories, and even at the end I didn’t feel as though I was there with the characters…simply a spectator. This could very much work for someone else and their reading tastes, though! I absolutely still recommend checking this out if the premise interests you. Overall I enjoyed this story!
