This was a perfectly curated book with an unique, imaginative world. I loved the infuriating slowburn between the two main characters and I know the wait will be made worthwhile. I wholly enjoyed the constant shroud of mystery and secrecy the author managed to achieve.
All I will say is that it is a pretty chunky book with equally as long sequels so have some sustenance handy.

Fast paced book, loved the superhero element and a good first book in a series. Made me want to read the rest.

Will there ever be a Marissa Meyer book that I won't enjoy? Probably not. I really loved this. It did take a while to get through just because I was listening to the audiobook and that thing is like 14 hrs long lol BUT I feel like if I had read the actual book I could've gotten through it a bit quicker.
I really enjoyed this interesting point of view of a "villain" even though when you're reading this she calls herself a villain but really that's just how she was raised, it's what she grew up thinking was right due to her experiences. I really like how it shows how flawed something can be no matter how good the intentions were.

Reread 2021: I love this book so much. It’s definitely a comfort read :) I love the villain characters most of all- especially Honey and Winston.
The only thing I don’t love about this book is Adrian. To me his character is meh and slightly annoying

reread 1: still fantastic. still amazing. still 5 stars
update: this was originally a 4.5 but since reading it i just can’t stop think about the story, so i’m bumping it to 5 stars.
this was fantastic. i loved the world and all the superpowers. it was so much fun. i also really loved Nova’s character. i love the whole double agent plot point because it adds so much suspense, not knowing if she’s going to be revealed at any moment.
