This book was a little slow for me in the beginning. I think I started it at least twice before powering through the first chapter and really getting into it. This book is fantasy at its best. I can't wait to keep reading about Moon and Chime and all the rest.

Okay it's almost 2am and I just finished reading this and wow what a ride.
The first 100 or so pages were pretty slow, but then the last 200 are unputdownable oh my god. I was not expecting to care so much about everything but then I did and it was incredible. This was so fun and unique and a good time. Wells' writing is a little on the weaker side (why is everything described as "ironic"? how does one nod ironically?), but it literally does not even matter because the story and the characters are so good.
This was just... a well thought-out fantasy book in an interesting universe with particularly strong characters and a rockin' plot. Hell yeah.
