So much better than the movie! Not sure why they made the changes they did, but I liked the family a lot more in the book. They don’t seem so unrealistic, they seem like you could know someone like them. They were all relatable for their different age groups. Love the sister bonds!

I really wanted to love this book, but it was just okay.
It went on and on describing things and setting a scene with pointless information (sometimes it’s okay, but this was excessive).
Also, in my personal opinion I wish it was split up by chapters instead of a few large parts.
It felt like a run on sentence and for me it was hard to focus on.
I got annoyed how every other page it’s talking about Gillian and how all the guys wanna get with her. After like the 5th time it got old. Like I get it already.
I also feel like all of the characters were underdeveloped. I didn’t love any of the characters or even hate any of them. I just felt mildly annoyed with the Gillian thing.
Overall, pretty lukewarm feelings towards this book.

I am a die hard practical magic movie lover so in this one instant naturally I think the movie is better than the book.
