I kept waiting for something to happen, anything to happen, and the only thing that happened was Ivy doing something stupid again. I cannot tell you how a FMC who makes bad decisions and can't communicate pisses me off. You'd think she would have learned something after three full books. Apparently not.

Overall, I would give this series a 4 star. But the first one was the best, and I prefer a series that gets better as it goes. Not that this one got worse, but it didn’t get better either.
The story line was nice, but I felt left with so many unanswered questions. And the romance felt lacking. Which lets be honest, that’s what I was there for. The romance is what hooked me with the first book and then all of a sudden it was very action and plot based.
And if that what’s you like, this is for you. But to me, the story felt rushed and the characters and relationships lacking at the end.

Het boek 'Brave' is het derde deel van de serie 'Wicked' geschreven door Jennifer L. Armentrout.
Nadat Ivy ontsnapt is en ze weer bij Ren is moet ze weer wennen aan het vrij zijn. Ze vertrouwt Ren niet en dat gaat voor problemen zorgen. De prins loopt nog in de wereld rond, dus de problemen zijn nog niet voorbij...
'Ja, het is een combinatie van Buffy en Beyonce, de twee beste vrouwen allertijden. Je bent als Buffy stoer. Maar je bent niet Becky met het goede haar. Je hebt slecht haar. Dat weten we allemaal.'
Dit zegt Tink tegen Ivy, hij maakt steeds vergelijkingen met bestaande series. Dat vind ik persoonlijk erg leuk. Dit deel begint met heel veel verdriet, Ivy moet erg veel verwerken. Maar het is ook weer erg spannend, het bevat ook veel humor en romantiek. Wat deze reeks erg leuk maakt om te lezen.

I think I’m learning that I don’t love most modern day fantasy stories, so this was a bit hard to get through but I wanted to finish the series!
